DGSA 11 June 2020 Examination Update - Wednesday 25 March 2020

The Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) is continuing to monitor the situation regarding Coronavirus and is in close contact with the Scottish Government and other regulators and awarding bodies throughout the UK, including the Department for Transport and DVSA. 

 

We are following the latest scientific and medical advice provided by the Scottish, and UK governments, and we are working to maintain service delivery. SQA is committed to protecting the health and safety of our employees, appointees, and candidates. 

 

As a result, the Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA) examination scheduled for 11 June 2020 has been cancelled. 

 

At present we anticipate our DGSA examination scheduled for 17 September 2020 will go ahead, however this will be reviewed at a closer date. Any further updates to this schedule will be shared with you via our website.

UK Multilateral Agreement - Friday 20 March 2020

On 20 March 2020, the United Kingdom signed a multilateral agreement, to mitigate the effect of DGSA examinations being cancelled due to COVID-19 .

DGSA 5 March 2020 Examination Update - Monday 23 March 2020

The Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) is continuing to monitor the situation regarding Coronavirus and is in close contact with the Scottish Government and other regulators and awarding bodies throughout the UK, including the Department for Transport and DVSA.

We are following the latest scientific and medical advice provided by the Scottish, and UK governments, and we are working to maintain service delivery.

Following the Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor examination on Thursday 5 March 2020, SQA is continuing to follow its post-exam timetable. We are aiming to ensure that all DGSA candidates will receive their results by Thursday 30 April 2020.

If however government guidance changes, it may alter our capability to produce examination results within this eight-week timeframe. Please be assured that if the situation changes, we will advise candidates as soon as possible.
